The Three MMOsketeers #23: 2012-08-21

Sometimes you accidentally an episode because of technical issues, other times because someone tried to be clever and ended up falling flat on his face. Last week’s missing episode of The Three MMOsketeers suffered from the latter. So let’s do a proper one this week, right?

In episode #023 (hail Eris, amirite?), our MMOsketeers take Bioware to task about their plans to sell statted gear in the upcoming item shop in Star Wars: The Old Republic - similar to what Turbine did in Lord of the Rings Online, which also has been debated here on the podcast. Then the SOE/ProSiebenSat.1 deal rears its head again, since it’s now been revealed that both the original Everquest and Vanguard: Saga of Heroes will be covered by it after all. Expect some ranting on this topic, dear listeners. You have been warned.

We also go back in time to dig up the ancient lost files from last week’s missing episode to bring you a Q&A session, dealing with favorite and least favorite monsters in MMOs and how integral lore is to the overall game play experience.
