The Three MMOsketeers #32: AoC’s Craig Morrison on sandboxes, F2P and more!

Published: October 31, 2012 - 53 minutes

On this episode of The Three MMOsketeers we are very happy to welcome our special guest, Craig Morrison of Age of Conan-fame!

Craig Morrison, game director and producer of Age of Conan.

Recently, Craig has been saying a lot of interesting stuff about system-driven, sandbox-types of MMOs – even going so far as to tell Gamasutra that you “could make a great systems-driven MMO for 10 or 15 million dollars”. In this age of increasingly large MMO budgets, with Star Wars: The Old Republic leading the charge, that was something we simply had to ask him about. We also talk about Age of Conan’s F2P-conversion, where the MMO industry is going from here and how Funcom fits into that future, and a lot more.

We’re very happy that Craig took the time to talk to us, and hope you all enjoy it – he’s got a lot of smart things to say, so pay attention!
